For a decade, Jai spent his early years experiencing a ‘sea gypsy’ lifestyle aboard a boat with his family. At the age of 18, he embarked on a global journey that took him through Brazil, Africa, Mongolia, Indonesia, Europe, and various parts of South America before eventually returning to Australia at 23. Upon his return, he established his inaugural gallery in Port Douglas. However, following the impact of Cyclone Yasi in 2011, he viewed it as a symbolic cue and decided to relocate to Byron Bay.

Jai’s artistic creations are a joyous expression of diverse mediums. Drawing inspiration from his extensive travels, his artworks showcase vibrant hues, intricate layers of printing and patterns influenced by the sea and forests, exotic fauna, striking motifs, religious symbolism, and the alluring female figures ranging from Polynesian beauties to oceanic sirens.
