Slim Aarons, whose real name was George Allen Aarons, was an American photographer known for his iconic photographs that captured the lifestyles of the rich and famous, particularly in the mid-20th century. He was born on October 29, 1916, in Manhattan, New York, and he passed away on May 30, 2006.

Slim Aarons began his career as a combat photographer during World War II, where he received a Purple Heart for his service.
