With the renovation design layout complete and wooden beam structures steadily being nailed into place, the Dawson’s Framing Renovation Progress is on track and planning our opening. The team has been working non stop to bring you a framing studio that is contemporary, beautifully lit, and designed for the best workplace flow and efficiency.
The building itself has some angled walls which we’ve successfully incorporated into two toilets that are far less intrusive into the work space and much more private than the previous WC’s that were quite dark and mostly used for storage. The clever positioning of the staircase adds more workspaces and acts as a barrier between work, display and the privacy of the toilets. Even the space underneath the staircase will be used for work-specific storage.
Clever use of hidden, double sliding doors separates the brand new gallery showroom from the work area. This creates a beautiful, new, clean space to display the beautifully framed artworks, photography and memorabilia.
The gallery area also boasts two new, contemporary, black framed, solid floor to ceiling windows opening up the space, as well as a brand new sensor activated, sliding door with the same styling.
The clean space work area is located upstairs. Moving the staircase has allowed us to open up the second level to a large open plan work area with an office and a kitchen planned.
We can’t help visualising the end result during the Dawson’s Framing renovation progress with a little photoshop render. Have a look at some of the simple artist’s impressions below to get an idea of what you’re in store for.
