    This is where it starts. Bring in your piece — print, photograph, painting, or anything in between — and we’ll design a frame around it. Moulding, matboard, glass, fillets, depth, finish — every decision is made with your specific artwork in mind. No two frames are the same here.

    Master Framer Graham Reynolds has spent decades perfecting the art of gilding. We apply genuine gold and white gold leaf by hand, crafting period frames that honour the work they hold. If your piece has history, its frame should too.

    Conservation Framing

    Some works need to outlast their owners. We use museum-grade conservation materials — archival mounting, UV-protective glazing, acid-free matboards — to ensure your artwork is protected for generations. If longevity matters, this is worth doing properly.

    Canvas Stretching & Float Framing

    Rolled or loose canvas, painted or printed — we’ll stretch it onto timber and have it ready to hang. If you’d prefer a float frame, we make them in timber, black, white, metallic, and custom finishes, or entirely bespoke if the work calls for it.

    We introduced mirror-framed TVs to Queensland and have been refining them ever since. When the screen is off, you see a beautiful framed mirror. We also design frames incorporating lighting and other integrated elements for pieces that deserve to be experienced, not just hung.

    Dawsons has been servicing the professional photography industry for over 25 years and we can help you too. Dawsons Fineprint houses the latest technology in printing with our Epson large format printers and Ilford stock including rag papers, gloss, matt and canvas.
