Showcasing a Stunning Trio: Custom Framing for a Unique Watercolor Landscape

At Dawsons Framing, we recently had the pleasure of working on a truly captivating trio of matching paintings that are sure to leave a lasting impression. These watercolor landscapes, rendered in serene shades of blue, are not only a testament to the artist’s skill but also a perfect example of how thoughtful framing can elevate artwork to new heights.

What makes this trio particularly unique is the innovative use of the first offset matboard, over which the artist has painted directly, creating a seamless blend between the artwork and its presentation. This technique adds depth and dimension, drawing the viewer’s eye into the scene as if they were stepping into the landscape themselves.

To further enhance these beautiful watercolors, we chose a wide triple mat, carefully layered to complement the blue tones of the artwork while providing a striking contrast that makes the colors pop. The finishing touch is an elegant mottled gold scoop frame, which adds a touch of sophistication and ties the entire composition together. The combination of the gold frame and the delicate watercolor work creates a harmonious balance between traditional and contemporary aesthetics, making these pieces a stunning addition to any art collection.
